Carriers
Carriers we represent
As an independent agency we are appointed with multiple carriers and place each risk with the market whose appetite, form and price fit it. These are some of the companies we work with.
Carrier names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used to identify the companies Betters Insurance is appointed with. Appointments vary by state and line of business. The availability of any carrier for a particular risk is subject to that carrier's underwriting.

How we choose
The market picks itself, if you know the markets.
Each carrier has an appetite: the classes, sizes and states it wants to write, and the ones it does not.
Our job is to know those appetites and send your submission to the carriers that will take it seriously, rather than to every carrier at once. Fewer, better-placed submissions get better terms and faster answers.
When a standard carrier declines, we go to specialty and surplus-lines markets. Surplus-lines placements are disclosed in writing, as state law requires, because those carriers are regulated differently from admitted ones.
Not sure which carrier fits?
Send us what you have and we will tell you which markets we would approach, and why.
