Three ways to get a quote

Whichever way you start, you get a written proposal that says what is covered, what is not, and what we would change.

Quote standard business lines online

General liability, business owner's policies, workers' compensation and some other standard lines, quoted in minutes through our online application. It opens Bold Penguin, our online quoting partner, in a new tab.

Share your current policies

Connect or upload the policies you have now and we quote like for like. This is our QuickStart process, run on a secure page by InsurGrid, a policy-sharing service. It opens in a new tab.

Send us the details

For production, media, professional liability, or anything with a wrinkle. Answer our quote form in about ten minutes, or arrange an interview and we ask the questions. Either way, we build the submission ourselves.

QuickStart

Share your current policies

QuickStart is a secure page run by InsurGrid, a policy-sharing service. You connect your current policies or upload the documents, and we receive your coverages, limits, deductibles, carriers and renewal dates.

Because we see exactly what you have, we quote the same structure first and then tell you where we would change it. You compare like with like, and you do not retype a single schedule.

  1. 01Open the QuickStart link for business or for personal
  2. 02Connect your carrier account, or upload your declarations pages
  3. 03Answer a few short questions about what has changed
  4. 04We review and come back with a written proposal

What sharing does, and does not do

Sharing your policies gives us the information to quote. It does not move your policies, cancel anything, or commit you to buying. Your information is used to prepare the quote and service your account, and is not sold.

Interview

Talk to an agent

Some risks do not fit a form: a new venture, a production with stunts or drones, a firm whose services have changed, a household with a boat and a board seat.

In an interview we ask about operations, contracts, hazards and what has changed, then prepare the submission ourselves. Bring your current declarations pages if you have them. We do the rest.

What we ask

  • What you do, and for whom
  • Contracts or leases that set insurance requirements
  • Anything hazardous or unusual in the work
  • Claims and losses in the last five years
  • What you would change about your current coverage, if anything

Common questions

Does QuickStart commit me to anything?

No. It gives us the information to quote. Your current policies stay exactly as they are until you decide otherwise.

I do not have current coverage. Where do I start?

Fill in the quote request form, or use the online business quote for standard lines. QuickStart is designed for people who already have a policy to share.

How is my information used?

To prepare your quote and, if you become a client, to service your account. It is handled by InsurGrid, which runs the QuickStart page, and shared with the carriers we approach for your quote. It is not sold.

How long does a quote take?

Through QuickStart or an interview, standard business and personal lines are often quoted the same or next business day; the online application for standard business lines is faster. Production, media and professional liability depend on carrier underwriting, and we tell you the realistic date before we start.

Can I use QuickStart for both my business and my household?

Yes. Use the business link for the company and the personal link for the household. We review them together so the limits line up.
