Manage your policy
Everything you can do yourself at any hour, and everything we do for you when you ask.
Client portal
What you can do in the portal
- Generate a certificate of insurance, then email it or download it
- Add a new certificate holder
- Download policy documents and ID cards
- See your policies, carriers and renewal dates in one place
Log in at NowCerts.com with the credentials we gave you. If you have not received them, or need a reset, call or email and we will reset it, usually the same business day.
Certificates
Self-serve, or send it to us
Both routes produce the same certificate. The difference is whether the policy already carries what the holder is asking for.
Self-serve in the portal when
- The holder needs proof of the coverage already on your policy
- You need it tonight, on the weekend, or before we open
- You issue the same certificate to many holders: locations, general contractors, venues
Send it to us when
- The contract asks for additional insured, waiver of subrogation, or primary and non-contributory wording that is not yet endorsed on your policy
- The requirement is unusual, or you are not sure what it means
- A holder has rejected a certificate and you need it corrected
Why the endorsement matters
A certificate is a snapshot of the policy. It cannot add coverage. If a holder wants additional insured status, the endorsement has to be on the policy first; a certificate that says otherwise is wrong, and holders check. Send us the contract wording and we handle the endorsement where the policy allows it.
Changes
Changes to your policy
Billing, payments, email and phone you can usually handle in your carrier's online account. Anything that changes coverage or rating, including a new address, comes through us.
Vehicles, drivers, locations, equipment, limits and additional insureds all change what the policy does, so each one is checked against the policy, sent to the carrier, and confirmed to you in writing. Send the details and the date you need, and we take it from there.
Carrier online accounts
Your carrier, around the clock
Most of the carriers we represent offer an online account for paying bills, setting up automatic payments, printing ID cards and reporting a claim.
Register on the carrier's website using your policy number, or ask us which services apply to your policy. For a claim, the carrier's claims line is the fastest route at any hour; the number is on your ID card and policy documents. Tell us too, and we will follow the claim with you.
Common questions
Can I issue a certificate at midnight?
Yes. The client portal is open at any hour, and the certificate it issues reflects the coverage already on your policy.
Can I add an additional insured myself?
You can add a certificate holder yourself. Additional insured status is an endorsement to the policy, so it has to be on the policy before a certificate can show it. If a contract asks for it, send us the request and we add the endorsement where the policy allows.
How fast is a request to the agency?
Requests received during business hours are usually acknowledged the same day. A certificate on an existing policy is often issued the same business day. Changes that need carrier underwriting take longer, and we tell you the realistic date up front.
I lost my portal login.
Call or email and we will reset it. Keep your credentials to yourself; send holders the certificate, not the login.
Does using the portal change my coverage?
No. The portal reads your policy. It cannot add coverage, change limits or bind anything. Coverage changes come through us and are confirmed in writing.
Who do I call about a claim?
Your carrier's claims line, day or night. The number is on your ID card and policy documents. Let us know as well, so we can follow the claim with you.
Rather we handled it?
Send a certificate or policy change request, email, or call. A licensed agent picks it up and confirms it in writing.
